V22 not landing in correct place, civilians won't drive cars

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to get back into the OpFlash/ArmA series after taking a break for a few years. I've been reading up how to finally make my own missions and have watched lots of tutorials and read some user guides. I've got my own missions set up and I need some help.

-I've got my main base of playable characters set up at the airfield

-I've got the Opfor camp set up in the woods (playable)

-I've got triggers in place to end the mission if Opfor is not detected (that's how I have it so when all the Opfor is dead the mission ends in 10 seconds)

-The UH-Y1 works fine, I've got one of the pilots in the hanger set on a waypoint to GET IN then GET OUT at the Opfor camp

-The V22 is not working with the set waypoint setup, if I have him GET IN then GET OUT at the Opfor camp he gets in the chopper then hops right back out

-I'm trying to get civilians at the Marines camp to load in a truck and drive off, several of the people get in the back but the group leader never get in the vehicle

Please let me know what's going on here, thanks!

One piece of advice is to name units and vehicles and then add assignAsDriver, assignAsCargo and orderGetIn statements that explicitly define the units to board particular vehicles.

For the civilians for example to board the truck name the individuals and the vehicle and issue explicit statements for the units to board as cargo.

civilian1 assignAsCargo aTruck; civilian2 assignAsCargo aTruck; civilian3 assignAsCargo aTruck; [civilian1, civilian2,civilian3] orderGetIn true;

With regard to the group leader not getting in I am speculating that there is a Get IN waypoint, and without specifiying his assigned position in the vehicle the game will always assume that the group leader intends to get into a truck as the driver, which I presume is already manned, and not as a passenger. It would probaby be better to have the group of civvies use a simple MOVE waypoint placed near the truck and get them to board the truck using the above statement.

Regards,

Sander
