Unpacking existing missions

Recommended Posts

Can anyone tell me if it's possible to unpack the BIS missions? I really like the Escape from Stratis multiplayer scenario but I'd like to tinker with it. Is that possible?

You can unpack a user made mission quite easily, just use the modding tools from the wiki. The missions are basically just zip files, you can unzip them and open them in the editor. I just don't know if it's possible to do with the BIS missions. They aren't in separate PBOs like the user ones.

Good guide, but not my question. I know how to depbo stuff. I want to know if it's possible to extract the missions that come with the game as they aren't saved in the same way.

Sorry must have misread your post then, but yes its possible you should be able to find the missions in the addons folder in the main directory of the game.

i cannot tell you what files as I dont have the Alpha, but if the files are similar it should have missions attached to the file, i cant really say I'm sure the file names have changed.

i've done what your looking to do for Arma2CO, so it should be roughly the same.

If you can locate the addons folder in your directory and open it, and then take a screenshot i might be able to tell you,

but as said look for a file with missions on the name.
