Goeth 0 Posted March 8, 2013 Hi there folks! Some of you might remember Sound of War sound mod for Arma II. I was wondering would there be any use for this mod in the Arma III? This time i would like to make it as modular as possible separating sounds of explosions, handheld guns, cannons, vehicles, launchers etc so people could just use the sounds which they like. So drop you´re opinion and let´s hear you out. Regards G
bigpickle 0 Posted March 8, 2013 Absolutely mate do it...but.. ATM most of the protected content means you cant fully mod some items, so as an example choppers only have very basic sound classes (no forsage/wind/ in or out) so its pretty hard to make em sound good without those classes, also within these configs certain sound classes are also locked such as start up and shut down classes, so when you try to patch it the helicopter sounds odd with out the matching start and stop sounds. Goeth 0 Posted March 8, 2013 I personally dont have the Arma III yet but that is soon to be fixed. So you mean you cant unpack the pbo´s yet and cant dig in to configs?. It would be really interesting to see whats new on the sound department.
EDcase 87 Posted March 8, 2013 Yes please. I don't like the ARMA3 reverb/echo. Sounds like firing in an arena. You brobably won't be able to do it until its fully released

You can unpack them etc the engine wont apply your patch over protected content and classes etc.
