stevos758 10 Posted March 6, 2013 I have had it happen a few times where I will be walking and do something and my character will continue to walk without pressing the walk key. It seemed to have stopped once when I mashed a bunch of keys, and once when I switched weapons. It happened when I just got in the water in the underwater mission and on the infantry showcase. PlacidPaul 11 Posted March 6, 2013 Just to clarify. Walking is now done with toggling S while pushing W Very different than Arma2 hold shift Is this a real bug or are you not using controls properly yet?
stevos758 10 Posted March 6, 2013 Yes. I am aware of the new controls. it stays running. I guess I should change it to moving forward. My character will continue to move forward without me pressing any keys.
ziriix 1 Posted March 7, 2013 I'm having the exact same problem, This happens to me a few times every hour so its starting to get annoying. I think it has to do with pressing multiple keys at the same time so i checked the web and keybindings to see if arma3 support auto walk and it doesn't. A temporary solution for this is to change your weapon because that makes your character stop.
Buckly 10 Posted March 7, 2013 I hear hitting the V key will stop you from walking. This is on the bug tracker, if you sign up you can vote it's priority and even add a note. The more people who use the tracker and put in info should make it easier for the Dev's to fix the error. It is an alpha and the more help we provide the sooner they can clear up all the errors
tremanarch 6 Posted March 7, 2013 had this happen three times. cant connect it with something special I did. but it was very often in hectic situations. maybe i pressed two or three keys at the same time - not sure. needs further investigation.
