Can i buy a code for the Alpha to input into steam?

Is it possible to pay for arma 3 alpha and get the key from bohemia interactive, so i can input it into steam?

I ask because of a number of reasons. I don`t trust steams security due to past loopholes in their system. I also do not use my gaming pc to buy anything at all, EVER. I have an older pc that is purely dedicated to buying online and emails only and if i buy it on that pc then it will surely want to try install it on that pc. I had similar problems in the past like that.

I do not wish to enter into a debate on steams security or questions as to why i don`t trust them etc. All i really need to know is if i can buy the key from BI and if so where, because i cant find it?

At the BI Store you can only buy the Supporter Edition. All other Editions must be purchased at Steam, sorry.

You can buy it here but I suggest you give it some more hours until the dust settled and servers reacting faster. :)

Thanks for your quick answer, but i already tried there earlier and it only seems to offer the Arma 3 supporters edition at €69.99. I was wanting to buy the €24.99 version but get directed to steams website whenever a find a link offering that version.

Can't tell if that will be possible some time. We have to wait for someone with more knowledge than me. :)

It should be no problem to use your old PC to purchase a key from Steam and then put that key into Steam on your game PC. Once you have the key it doesn't matter from which PC you purchased it. The only thing required is a valid and working email address.

Yeah, bit annoying after Dwarden encouraged us to buy from bistudio that now I can finally get the website to load after trying all day, it turns out it's not possible to buy the Alpha, only the Supporters :( I wanted to make sure BIS got as much of the money as possible but if I'd known I wouldn't be able to do so, I'd just have bought from Steam as soon as it was available. Oh well, no big deal I've been too busy today and wouldn't have had time to play with it anyway.

Yay, I now see today that the Digital deluxe edition and Alpha versions are also available for purchase at store.bistudio.com!
