dragon01 903 Posted March 5, 2013 I'd like to know, is that possible to add ArmA II to Steam in such a way that would allow me to buy DLCs for it and use it like any other Steam game? I'm asking, because I've got ArmA II from a retailer in Poland, and thus it's language-locked to Polish. Having a boxed copy is nice, but Steam makes it much easier to move between computers, doesn't get scratched nor lost unlike a DVD, not to mention allows changing languages (at least I hope so, Polish is killing my immersion somewhat). Also, since ACR doesn't seem to be coming out in a box, I could as well get it on Steam at a discount (one of the reasons for buying a boxed versions were paper maps and other such goodies). I'd like to get Steam to recognize my DVD versions just like they were bought on Steam. That means changing languages, buying DLCs, downloading it to other computers from Steam and taking screenshots with F12 (something I really missed from ArmA II was a "take screenshot" button). Is that possible to do?
Braaten 1 Posted March 6, 2013 I don't think that would be possible I'm afraid. I may be horribly mistaken but to my knowledge unless the CD-Key works on steam you cannot use Steams features unless you have a steam valid CD-Key or buy it off Steam. Someone may be able to assist you better though.
