danny96 80 Posted March 2, 2013 (edited) Hello, I really don't know anything about ArmA Editing and Modding, so I wanted you to ask. Is vehicles' exterior same model as the interior model? I mean - Is the 3rd person vehicle model same like that from 1st person perspective? Or is 3rd person modded separetedly from the 1st person model? Also want to ask one more question, that is not anyhow related to the first. Does every model in-game have "NVG On (And other thermal optics etc...) Texture" version or the engine is able to recolor every texure to green? I mean, does each texture need to be made green (and other visions' versions) or the game engine is really able to deal with it automatically? I want to know that just because I'm curious what can RV engine do. Edited March 2, 2013 by danny96
MissileMoose 10 Posted March 3, 2013 When developing an object, only one model is created (if I understand it correctly). With the use of LODs it may appear as though interior details are different, when looking into a vehicle from third person for example. As for night and thermal optics, they are just filters. Though each "hot" object has a thermal signature. I'm not entirely sure how this is implemented, but assume through texturing. I hope this helps you understand. :)
