Question: Do you get instant access to Alpha/Beta with Supporter's edition?

Recommended Posts

The reason I ask is because the page here: http://www.arma3.com/news/plans-for-arma3-in-2013#.US0QqqXkudU

Says: "To participate in the Alpha, people can purchase the Arma 3 Alpha (24.99 EUR/19.99 GBP/32.99 USD) or Arma 3 Digital Deluxe Edition (39.99 EUR/34.99 GBP/49.99 USD) on Steam."

Nothing about the Supporter's edition...

Can we get clarification on this? I would like to support the development but the wording here needs fixed if Supporters are to be clear on this matter.

Thanks in advance!

They're all listed on the "buy" page as having alpha access. No way BI would sell a higher-priced supporter edition without at least all the features of the cheaper versions!

Actually, the only possible delay I can see is that the other bundles can be purchased directly through Steam, which means instant access (instantly added to your Steam library). The supporters edition is only purchasable through the BI store, so there's a possibility it could take a bit of time (certainly not that long!) for them to send a Steam code. I doubt that though - chances are they'll have it set up to automatically provide a code. (Someone who has purchased Steam codes from the BI store can probably answer that.)

Amazon does the same thing and the key is listed on the page after you hit confirm purchase, won't take long if they do it the same way.

If they just give you a code all you will have to do is just add it to the steam library which takes 2 seconds.

Thank you for all the replies but they are still all speculation. I would like some clarification from a CM or Mod that has the "for sure" info on this.

If I buy supporter's edition, can I get ARMA X in a non-steam version?

You are hijacking a thread...This thread is specific to the access for Alpha/Beta for Supporter editions.
