Can't Join any Servers on Arma 2

Recommended Posts

I'm having an issue on Arma 2 (OA works fine) where whenever I join a server it loads me to recieving data then I randomly get kicked back to the multiplayer main menu. I get no warning or error message. It does this on all servers I try. I tried everything in the first 3 google pages. Does anybody know what could be causing this?

More info:

- I had issues with Arma 2 not running and i did all the regedit stuff to get it working again

- I only played Multiplayer on Arma 2 vanilla once at whihc time the server got hacked and we all had to Alt+F4 ( Maybe that had something to do with it?)

- No, I am not using an cracked or hacked version of arma

Thanks!

If OA works fine then just use this as its basically Arma2 with extra features... Plus if you have both then you should be launching with Combined Ops (for steam users) or just OA for disc users. Then you can join any server not running mods or required beta patches.

If you launch with A2 shortcut and join a server using OA assets, you will be kicked. So just launch with Combined Ops and you will have no issues.

I think it is not possible to see the OA/CO servers while using only A2 and vice versa.

I guess the reason you want to play A2 is because you have a friend who has only A2, or A2Free? otherwhise there'd be no reason doing that^^

Anyway, I think there was an own Battleye BEClient.dll for A2 only, perhaps you have to update it. Locations are in *:\*\ArmA 2\BattlEye\

and

*:\Users\<your username>\AppData\Local\ArmA 2\BattlEye

perhaps the users\*\AppData path file gets replaced automatically with the one in your arma directory, I don't know it.

You may test also, if you can join Servers without BE activated.

Also check if the Server is using a different version, or some mods.

Another hint, let your friend join the server. Once hes in, connect yourself.

Your friend should watch the chatreports, there are often errors reported, the user who connects can't see yet, but the server reports it.

Then perhaps your mate can tell you, that there is a corrupted file or something missing etc.

This maybe, i've seen several people including me with this problem before.

http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?129168-HOTFIX-resolves-ARMA-2-version-1-11-Wrong-signature-for-file-dta-languagecore-pbo

like SnowSky said, You can confirm if this is the problem by letting ur friend connect and see what you're getting kicked for.

If its says something with Languagecore, then you need to download this fix.

I looked into that and it the BEclient wasn't there. After searching around a bit I figured out my Internet Security thought it was a virus and got rid of it for some reason. No idea why. It's fixed now after I went on steam and checked the game cache. Thanks bro.
