Ravoll 10 Posted January 8, 2013 (edited) HI All, First, thanks again to Zulu1 for the VTE Crcti. The version Zulu1 gave me is VTE_crcti_0.93. Not complaining, but some are full of bugs. These missions are a few years old and I'm sure these problems were addressed back then.I think part has to do with the version. Question:Is crcti1.0 an upgraded version of crcti0.93? If so, how can I turn my VTE_crcti_0.93 , into VTE_crcti_1.0? Ravoll 10 Posted January 11, 2013 (edited) Did I post in the wrong section? To re-Phrase the question is there any way to "patch" the VTE_crcti0.93 to crcti1.0, without re-writing the whole show. I want the com options in 0.93 to be just like the options in 1.0,while retaining the VTE mod's vehicles and soldiers. To mention a few: Giving AI money, AI earning money,(keep) AI purchasing power,(buy at) Transport duty, Waiting transport, Advance/guard/ patrol areas.......... Not complaining.I only want to take a very cool and overlooked/forgotten mod ,and make it cooler, maybe re-spark peoples interest.I'm not a script writer, not that I can't learn it,just don't have the time, and don't want to.:)(not to mention the fact that I can't seem to find any tutorials on building crcti missions.) *zeewolf* 4 Posted January 12, 2013 I'm confused, you say you want to update the mission yourself, but are unwilling to learn how to script. CTI missions in general are probably the most heavily scripted OFP missions ever made, how exactly do you expect to alter the behavior of a mission without altering the scripts? Even the best written/documented CTI missions do not go into the specifics of how every script works, that information can only be found by talking to the author or analysing the scripts. If you aren't going to learn how to read/write scripts then you are essentially asking for someone to do all the work for you. CTI missions can easily have more scripting in them than a full blown total conversion mod and you are asking for someone to reverse engineer it to your specifications. I suggest you contact the author for some advice on whether any of the things you have asked for can be changed easily, regardless if you are going to do any of the work yourself it will involve writing scripts. For clarity,I'm not asking anyone to do the work for me.The work has already been done probably, and I'm asking if there is anyway to achieve my goal with what is already been written.I can't believe that the jump from crcti0.93 to 1.0 was that big a leap, and that 1.0 was re-scripted from scratch. Both versions probably use the same version game engine and probably will share the same syntax structures. There are so many people changing the crcti missions around these days, so the info must be out there. How does one contact the author? Clean Rock had written at one time a tutorial for his crcti ,but there are only incomplete fragments to be found these days via really old threads. I'm not "unwilling" to learning how to write OFP scripts. But if it means continuing trying to decipher scripts ,and learning syntax, without any kind of starting point, ie tutorial, then yeah ,I don't want to.Am there now. It's futile and time consuming. So I'd be thankful for any helpful suggestions, tips, tutorials or anything other than what I have now, without dogging me,if possible. zulu1 145 Posted January 12, 2013 I've looked at the scripts in both .93 and 1.0 missions and they are very different, 1.0 has many more scripts. I'd say to make a .93 mission to 1.0 it might be a total redo. CTI is still played on 2 or 3 servers, but as far as missison makers go I dont think there are many at all. Forget about CleanRock, Gen. Bergfruehling I guess is still on this site: http://ofpmods.webs.com/. There is no guarantee that he can help you.

Will probably be better to take the time, change all the vehicles out one by one, change the inits I need and dump what I don't.Problem with that is some of the 0.93 vehicle scripts, had big problems with 1,0 and I got init errors all across the top of my screen. I just hoped/thought that maybe there was some magical script that would fix everything. The mod and vehicles are still cool though. CD
