ajgajg1134 1 Posted December 29, 2012 When I'm playing single player after about an hour of play my screen will freeze however sound will continue and if I press 'm' my cursor changes to the map one but doesnt display the map or if I press escape my cursor changes. I have attempted the alt-enter fix and all this does is bring the game back up with a black screen. I then have to close ARMA 2 with task manager. (Note that I am not playing nor have I installed OA) Other than when it freezes the game runs perfectly no lag at all. I am running the latest video card driver. The RTP file that I see people refer to doesn't seem to have any information at the bottom regarding a crash but I'll post it here anyway: pastelink.me/dl/6c646d Thanks! SnowSky 12 Posted December 29, 2012 Hi and Welcome to the forum. Is it a laptop you play on (My guess because of the GTX 660 - M)? Can you see the temperature of your videocard when this happens? Does it happen also with other videogames? My first try would be lowering all the settings to the lowest possible, and let the game run. Perhaps use the editor to set a single unit and hop into the game use an island like "Desert". Keep starring at the same spot all the time, so it should not force the videocard a lot. Then let it run, and run, and run - and watch if it will stay stable this way. If it works that way, you might want to find a way to better cool your laptop (there are such little desks with ventilators that give a constant breath under your laptop). ajgajg1134 1 Posted December 31, 2012 The game just crashed on me again this time in about 2 minutes and my GPU was running at 33 degrees Celsius. (CPU around 40) I'm going to try running the game on lower graphics but I'm pretty convinced this isn't a temperature issue.
