DrDNA 0 Posted July 4, 2002 Recently, while testing out a new island with my friend, my computer started freezing whenever I entered a car or humvee. I thought maybe the island addon was causing the problem, but it would still freeze with the official islands. I decided to do a full reinstall (all folders deleted as well) and while I don't get the problem in 1.00, it starts again in 1.30 (with the gold upgrade). I've even tried updating with the downloaded patches to no avail. I have no extra addons now, it's been completely reinstalled and yet it still freezes when I get into any land vehicle. Aside from that the game runs [nearly] fine. Anyone have the slightest clue as to what's going on? It's extremely frustrating and I'm at a loss of what to do. DrDNA 0 Posted July 5, 2002 Just for future reference, I upgraded to XP from Windows 98 today and the freezing ceased. I still have no idea what was causing it as it had been running fine for about 6 months previously. Lucky me, I suppose. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
