how to get Dayz to work

Ok first off im very new to this game so bear with me.

right i bought and installed Arma 2 and operation arrowhead started game went to server list in multiplayer and tried to get in on a Dayz server but i keep getting failed attempt come up.

not sure if ive done something wrong or not it says i need version 1.62 and shows i have 1.62 so im at a loss as to how i cant get onto the servers.

Can any1 help me please

For mods in general, you will have to download the mod and then activate it in the expansions menu before you play on a server that requires that mod. For more detailed help with DayZ, please visit the official DayZ forum.
