Computer Parts For Arma 2

Recommended Posts

I really want to buy computer parts from New-Egg but I have no idea what to buy. I need a whole new setup. I was wondering if someone could give me certain parts to run this game. I'm willing to spend up to $600. Please put links. I want to run this game really good.

well I wont put links, but if you want a cheap pc to run arma2 good, it depends on what you already have and could possibly reuse. For good performance cheap this is what to buy:

asus p8p67 mobo
asus gtx 460 or 560
Intel I5-2500 (k)
Corsair 8GB ram
antec900 case
lightscribe optical drive
corsair 650w+ powersupply

About 8 months ago all of that cost me ~700$ from newegg (minus the case, I already had that). I'm sure you could easily obtain those parts for ~600$. I run the game smooth as glass, a2, co, ace etc. Warfare maps where participants are building large amounts of troops/vehicles.. no problem. I get anywhere between 45 - 120 fps. Just depends on what I'm doing, where I'm at, and how many players/AI there are. While you're probably gonna spend over 600$ when it's all said and done, computer in front of you ready to go. Labor costs etc for assembling it. Unless you know how to assemble your own pc.

Anyhow, I'm sure someone will come on here and tell you not to go the cheap route and to "plan ahead", to buy overly expensive parts that are technically only a shade better. Which is easy to say, all fine and dandy when money isn't an issue. In any case, if you have a computer that runs A2 super smooth, you should have nps running A3. So... expensive parts don't matter if you're satisfied with the performance of your pc.
