IceCaps97 1 Posted November 7, 2012 I need to buy a serial code for ArmA 2: OA but the only way I can do that is through Steam, but I have a copy of the game from Amazon. If I buy ArmA 2: OA on Steam and use the serial code it gives me on the Amazon version, will it be valid? I don't want to waste $20 and I can't buy ArmA 2: CO on Steam. [frl]myke 15 Posted November 7, 2012 Erm...Keys are never sold standalone. So if you have Key from Amazon you should also have the game files from amazon. If you buy it on steam it is the same, you wouldn't need the Key from Amazon as Steam will have it's own. So your question doesn't make sense unless you got your game files from a...let's say "unofficial distributor" which then simply is illegal.
IceCaps97 1 Posted November 7, 2012 I have both game files on amazon but I need a second key for OA. I can only buy it on steam because I can't use my card with amazon. I would buy OA on steam but instead of installing on steam I would take the code and reinstall the amazon OA installer with the steam key.
[frl]myke 15 Posted November 7, 2012 Still doesn't make sense to me. Anyway, afaik this what you intend to do doesn't work. Use Amazon key on Amazon files and Steam keys (obviously) for steam. But i can be wrong, keeping thread open.
