liska 1 Posted October 17, 2012 Hey guys, I'm new here and got couple of questions So my first question is there hardware section for TOH? I could not find it... Anyways I got single monitor set up and thinking about getting another two. Does TOH run on multiple displays? If so can I see some pictures, videos to give me an idea what can i expect with TOH. I would also like to see peoples controllers, custom stuff if any. Here you can see my home made collective ( won't let me post since its my firs post here) Is there way to activate on screen FPS? ---------- Post added at 23:48 ---------- Previous post was at 22:08 ---------- Here is my custom collective lol http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nQrhrjTfu-s&feature=g-upl I know its super dorky but it works awesome
hon0 10 Posted October 17, 2012 Welcome. Take a look at this galery It's running on Triple head monitor. Be carefull. You need an EXTREME Pc to run TOH on Triple screen with good graphics. It's not BF3. And yup no hardware section here. Not yet ! Your system is cOol but not enought precise in my opinion. On these kind of slider there is 256? 512 valure? On a 30cm long course axe.. You need a hall effect sensor
liska 1 Posted October 17, 2012 Thanx, those screens look amazing. My PC should run just fine, I hope. It's Intel i7 3820, 16 gig ram, GTX 690 Now, what are you talking about "hall effect sensor" yea, I wish I could just buy parts and wire them up to work with pc... yea that's not me. Perhaps If I could find detailed tutorial maybe then I can put something together from scratch. You know any useful websites?
hon0 10 Posted October 17, 2012 Hmm I may be this.. Don't know. I didn't really looked for. http://www.fichier-pdf.fr/2011/05/10/uni-stick/preview/page/1/
Sven2157 1 Posted October 17, 2012 If you are talking about Simulator additions, that are modeled after the real world counterparts, then check this out: SimKits. There are several companies that specialize in this, they are expen$ive, however.
dwringer 45 Posted October 17, 2012 GTX 690 TOH will use all the video cards you can throw at it, so go ahead and drop a grand or so on a couple more of those ;) EDIT: actually I don't know how true that is having never used more than 1. But save up for the 790 when they get invented and you might get to where TOH wants you to be:)

If I was Mechanical Engineer with Degree in Electronics and had garage I'm sure i would be already working one one of those... I'll do more research and gather more ideas on this subject, thanx thou ---------- Post added at 18:28 ---------- Previous post was at 17:58 ---------- If you are talking about Simulator additions, that are modeled after the real world counterparts, then check this out: SimKits. Yes that's real nice stuff, but i was thinking just some nice custom collective, cyclic and pedals would be nice, like these guys make http://www.computerrepairs.ca/ But like you said, its butt load of cash ---------- Post added at 18:41 ---------- Previous post was at 18:28 ---------- TOH will use all the video cards you can throw at it, so go ahead and drop a grand or so on a couple more of those ;)EDIT: actually I don't know how true that is having never used more than 1. hon0 10 Posted October 18, 2012 You may find some idea here as well. Tip top. Hall effect everywhere. http://shop.c-tekflight.com/Collective-Controls_c3.htm But.. But.... Have no €
liska 1 Posted October 22, 2012 So I got answer from computerrepairs guys http://www.computerrepairs.ca/Controller_Ordering_Info.htm WOW! I guess I'm gonna stick to my "PVC pipe collective pitch" and "rubber band cyclic" saitek-mod control for a while... liska 1 Posted October 24, 2012 (edited) OK so after some research I did find exactly what I need for custom build heli controls :bounce3: It's Joystick controller board that can handle: -8 potentiometers or Hall effect sensors (2 for collective, 2for cyclic, one for pedals, 2 for thumb stick) -32 buttons of custom assignment -8-way hat switch All this pre-wired with usb interface plug and play ready If you have some common sense and handy skills I don't see a problem with using this board and building your own collective, cyclic, pedals and panel full o custom switches Here is the board http://www.leobodnar.com/products/BU0836/ Also found this awesome thumb stick that will work perfectly with the board https://www.sparkfun.com/products/10433 Edited October 24, 2012 by liska
hon0 10 Posted October 24, 2012 Cool. Keep the post up to date with pics  Good courage
liska 1 Posted October 25, 2012 I'll definitely keep the progress up to date, if people are interested of course. But it's going to be a little bit before I start at all, do to my financial situation right now and also i got to do more research on parts and materials. All I can say right now is, that I will most definitely use Hall Effect Sensors. Not just because they are more precise, but also because they eliminate all the crazy clock work mechanical gizmos you need if you choose potentiometers. So it makes the project less of a Head-ache and more Cost-effective
liska 1 Posted November 6, 2013 So like a year later I have an update :j:... I finally got to sit down and make a plan on constructing my Cyclic mechanism. After some serious thinking, while searching for the best combination of parts I did come up with these. The goal is to have no welding or serious machining involved and still get solid piece of hardware. So say tuned in if interested in my progress as I'm expecting to be 100% done in next few weeks. Vinylvasilev 10 Posted January 23, 2014 How do i enter spectator mode in this game, if there is a spec mode? I found a console command for arma 3, but how do i access console in ToH? Any way to view maps without being a heli? Like flying around noclip style, since its not clear from above what things are below, to get a feel of the map? Couldnt make another thread on this, since it says i cant?

VLee 0 Posted February 13, 2016 I have a related question about video settings. In the vid settings it shows a gray square and circle with 'calibration images should overlap.' Should they REALLY overlap? Mine don't. Can anyone explain?
