alex9066 1 Posted October 13, 2012 Hi there, Arma 2, fantastic game.... no probs playing online..... Operation Arrowhead, Cant seem to connect to servers at all..... I purchased the game through steam. When I go to play online I get all the servers showing up but theres no regular server to play on. Its all Dayz and stuff like that, i only have the normal game with no add-ons at all. To play on the dayz servers, what do i require? And shouldn't I just be able to play on a normal OA server? I'm running vers.1.62.95248. Once on the server list, i'm getting messages like Battleye initialization failed, asking for passwords, not having dlc content, saying I use modified data files. All I want is to be able to play a normal game against AI like on Arma 2. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

For the DLC content normally BAF and PMC have been installed via regulars updates, for ACR you need to download and install it separately (don't know how it works for steam version). Also you can manually update battleye by placing the updated dll files in the correct folder, you can find them here : http://www.battleye.com/download.html. visceralsyn 10 Posted October 13, 2012 (edited) There are likely few to no Operation Arrowhead servers, and if you connect to a Combined Operations server, you will get error messages. Since CO servers are running with content, you do not have activated. Load Combined Operations, and you should get no errors connecting to vanilla servers, running either CO or OA. The way the serverbrowser lists servers now, you will most likely only see more Dayz modded servers, since there are millions of them. BAF, and PMC Expansion packs make no difference, the Lite versions of them are already in your addons. Finding a vanilla OA, or even a vanilla CO server is going to be your challenge. ...Syn... Hud Dorph 22 Posted October 14, 2012 If you install latest beta-patch all the zombieDayZ servers wont show in serverbrowser unless you run the game with the dayZ-mod. http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php The betapatch wont mess with your installation as long as its mp-compatible, as it installs in a seperate beta-dir.
