jet speed

Recommended Posts

what is the fastest the engine allows a jet to fly in arma 2 or co

because i'm trying to get a plane to fly 2200 by editing it's config file but im not sure the game engine allow such speeds as the maximum reached is barely 1800

Ive not seen the fastest speed, but I think if your hitting that when you've configured it to 2200 then that is most likely the highest speed.

1800 !! I'm very surprised you got that high!

Last time I checked you could barely get over 1200

Game limits speed no doubt to avoid MP issues.

i used the euro fighter to get to 1800

however there is a small bug in the f15 if i engage the afterburner then turn my throtle to 0 and turn of the engine leaving the afterburner on and the hit the throtle again the plane will instantly go to 2000 and obove but it will loose all it fuel in seconds it actualy looks like a fuel dump directly into the afterburner but there probaly are some limits somewhere but im not a modder so i don't know anything about coding i've seen some of your modelling videos great work btw

i don't think theres a limit i made this plane go 6000 but scaled it down to 2500 and it's kind of fun to go at those high speeds at 2500 it's still controlable

yest it was with the afterburner script i couldn't do it with out it i think you did some editing on that script it is from the su 47 from arma 1 but when using the afterburner she tends to use alot of fuel so it would be nice if i could set a shortcut key like shift to activate it for short seconds

.... rewrite the script so the fuel usage is cut. (extra) Fuel usage is inside the AB script
