Playing campaign - many problems..so far.

Recommended Posts

Ok, I am new to the game but so far the vehicle movement is a big issue. They bump into each other, don't stay in formation, fall behind from each other and this is a big issues when I want to engage the enemy. The next problem, maybe there is a solution and I am not aware of it, is the energy on the vehicles. I have 2 out of 4 operational on the battlefield and I want to be able to recharge the other 2 that are stranded in the middle of the map with no energy. There is no transfer from one vehicle to another ? Or an emergency drop from carrier ?

I will probably continue the list ...

The walrus AI problem is well documented. For now your best bet is to select all the vehicles you want to move and give them multiple waypoints to their destination and keep an eye on their progress on the map, jumping in and helping them if you see them getting stuck or falling behind. You could also have alll the walruses assisting one you are steering and they will try to follow.

For your fuel problem, you should be refuelling them before they get to that point, either by returning to the carrier or using the fuelling stations on the island marked by a lightning bolt on the map. Later in the game you will develop the ability to airlift your walruses using the mantas so you should be able to move them to a fuel station like that. If you are at a point in the game after the manual control of the carrier is unlocked, you can move the carrier around the island to be as close to your units as possible. Walruses are fairly tough, so I have often taken a shortcut down a mountainside to get to the carrier quicker.
