almanzo 144 Posted September 24, 2012 Hi! I have a problem with my joystick while flying. when going full throttle, the nose of the helicopter pitches upward. If I start on the ground, don't touch anything, then set throttle at full, the chopper goes up in the air, then it starts pitching upward, trying simply to loop. Why is this? Someone have a sollution? I am using Cyborg X joystick with updated drivers.
Nicholas 5 Posted September 24, 2012 Are you sure that you have correctly mapped the controls of the joystick? Go into controls and make sure the throttle is not mapped to anything else.
almanzo 144 Posted September 25, 2012 Yes, I know. I've checked it several times, and it shouldn't be a conflict. The calibration should also be correct in the drivers. Just to make sure, I have the throttle mapped to "Inrease throttle (analog)" on the plus value of the throttle (or whatever is moving the tick away from me), and "decrease throttle (analog)" on the oposite. Going to check with TakeOn tonight, to see if the same problem is apparent there. The thing is, it seems to be true only when the throttle is full.
almanzo 144 Posted September 25, 2012 Now for an update. It works as it should in Take On: Helicopters with the same key mapping. I find this weirder and weirder.
GLENNYBOY1 0 Posted September 26, 2012 I use a crummy gamepad to fly in arma and the controls go bananas if I have my usb steering wheel plugged in at the same time,it's a shot in the dark but maybe it's another usb device causing the problem.
Leon86 13 Posted September 29, 2012 multiple controllers often cause these kinds of problems. If I have my joystick and my wheel connected at the same time my analog throttle doesnt work properly, it's either 0% or 100%.
denco 16 Posted September 29, 2012 (edited) Sry to steal a post like that but I need help with something. After the 1.62 update I noticed that my joystick wasn't mapped any more. Now I don't care because I mapped everything manually but my Point of View button ( top left side on the picture ) doesn't work any more and I have no idea how to map it and this makes flying impossible because I cant look around freely like I did before. How do I map it or make it work like it did before the update? http://gearmedia.ign.com/gear/image/article/843/843580/thrustmaster-tflight-stick-x-20080104014347097-000.jpg EDIT: In case anyone was wandering you have to map Look up, Look down... At least that is what I had to do. Edited September 30, 2012 by Denco

Maybe it's changed in a recent beta but last time I checked my ArmA controls, you had to map both axis of the throttle to Throttle (Analog) (I might be slightly out on the name there) as I think the other thing was Brake (Analog). I know it's different (i.e as you described) in TKOH though.
