How do i make my soldiers spawn in boat

ok im making a Omaha Beach Map style thing and everytime i try out my game my men respawn out of the higgins boat including me lol how do i make them spawn in the higgins boat.

It s a co op or a ctf ?

You mean start the mission or respawn when you die ?

If you mean just start the mission in the higgings.

Name it : let s say "hig"

Then put in every soldiers init field

this moveincargo hig

Now they will start in the higgings

If you mean respawn you ll have to do it in the respawn trigger i guess, but don t ask me how, i never experimented with that. Or maybe group your man with the higgings and put them in cargo ? Maybe the the ll respawn back in there.

Ask the US Navy, they seem to do a lot of "spawning" in their boats! tounge.gif (Sorry, couldn't resist, I shaddup now)

If you haven t figured out yet.

Put in every soldier's "init" field

this moveincargo 'nameofboat"

Nameofboat is the name you gave to the boat.

So if you called it boat ( yes it can be simple sometimes )

this moveincargo boat

That s it

hmm after beeing dead...

well the idea would be to do a trigger and in the activation field:

condition : !alive player

activation : [] exec "spawntoboat.sqs".

and then in do a test till the player is alive like :

spawntoboat.sqs :

#stillnotalive

~0.001

? (!alive player ) : goto "stillnotalive"

player moveincargo boat

exit

did not test...
