Joeh 1 Posted August 30, 2012 ive made a really basic model in O2, its just two big castle style walls 4 meters apart with 2 mini floors between, ive done the LOD things and ive got 2 problems, one is i cant seem to add multiple textures to different faces without deleting previous textures off the model, and second is the config file and just getting from the model with the lods and textures ect into the actual game, im finding tutorials for making mods but getting stuck at texturing and the config in the tutorial is always for the mod your making in the tutorial, which is not what i am making, im completely new to all of this so super basic help stuff would be appreciated :)
Robster 11 Posted August 30, 2012 welcome! Afaik you can't put more than 4 different materials (rvmats) in a model and I guess something similar might apply to textures, I mean, images drawn over poly surfaces... if your model looks too much simple with few textures... you should make just one somehow... many modellers do this job using non BIS apps, just like 3DS MAX or Blender, which is free... Just check those paa files -using tex2view- regarding buildings or houses inside "ca" folder on your P: drive to get a quick idea... Saludos!

You just can't have multiple textures on the same face. What I think might be happening is you're selecting a whole sub-object using the object select tool. To select individual faces, try the poke faces tool. The selection tool hotkeys can be found in the manual: http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Oxygen_2_-_Manual#Editing
