Joeh 1 Posted August 23, 2012 Hi, im following a tutorial here http://ofp.gamepark.cz/_hosted/brsseb/tutorials/lesson1/lesson1_d.htm to learn how to create a mod, and i've got up to the stage of adding the textures, the object is a shipping container and i have a texture for the door, and a texture for the side, when I select the face of one of the doors, and turn on fill solid faces, then find the correct view with the red fill, i then press "A" to select texture mode and right click load texture, choose the correct texture, draw the face out, press B to finalise it and turn off fill solid faces, i can now see the texture on the door, in the tutorial i am then told to do the same to the opposite door, i repeat the process, then i move onto the sides and do the exact same process, however when i look in the viewer, although ive added textures to all the faces apart from the top and bottom, the only textures that appear are the last ones i did, ie, i always do the doors first then the sides, when i check the viewer after the texturing the doors, both the door textures appear, when i add textures to the sides and look in the viewer, the textures for both sides appear but the textures for the doors dissapear, i cant get textures onto multiple sides, any suggestions or help??? Joeh 1 Posted August 24, 2012 well it wasn't the first time, but ive just unwrapped it and tried again and once again i can only add a texture to 1 face, when i add a second texture to a different face it just removes the first one i did?
PuFu 4600 Posted August 24, 2012 ^^ look up what uv unwrap does in the first place..what you are describing above is adding individual textures to a model ofp style. it doesnt work that way anymore
