Custom radio sound problems

Recommended Posts

So I want to get a custom radio sound (song) to use while playing multi-player. I'v seen a lot of other posts with peope telling others how to do it. the problem is, I got arma though steam, so i dont use "C:Users\UserName\Documents\ArmA 2\Sound" I have to do "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2" and when it comes to the part when I have to go into the file with my ign, its not their, so i tryed puting it in the arma 2 folder with the "battlEye" and "Directx" folder and i tested it and it didnt work. And Im sure the file isnt to big, I just checked. Dose anyone know how to fix this?

is it in the ogg format?

As you have the steam version - I can't help you any further as I have no experience with it, sorry.

Even with Steam you'd still use the Users\Documents part for your in game stuff.

Should be C:\Users\UserName\Documents\ArmA 2 Other Profiles\InGameName and make the sound folder there.

ok, I think I know what your saying, I went to "C:\Users\Username\Documents\ArmA 2" and I see a file called "ARMA2OAPROFILE" but thats just a .cfg and (as far as i know) can only be opend in note pad, so i wouldnt be able to make a folder. The other 2 are just "ARMA2.cfg" and "ARMA2OA.cfg" and its not a hidden folder/file, I just swiched on "show hidden folders" and cheaked again and still nothing, but thank you for trying :)

You need to create the folder yourself, by defaults its not there.

C:\Users\Username\Documents\ArmA 2 Other Profiles\InGameName\Sound

Hope this helps

Is the file really called "Arma 2 Other Profiles" because I dont have a file called that, so do I need to make a file called "Arma 2 Other Proflies" and then make a ign folder and put the sound folder in their? And if so, then dose the "Arma 2 Other Profiles" folder go in the Arma 2 folder or would they be separated?
