Placebo 29 Posted August 3, 2012 Disable your antivirus, run steam as administrator, verify cache integrity of the game, restart steam.
dhall10 1 Posted August 3, 2012 Disable your antivirus, run steam as administrator, verify cache integrity of the game, restart steam. How do you verify cache integrity of the game and what does this mean? Sorry and thanks for the instant reply :) Thanks, dhall10
Placebo 29 Posted August 3, 2012 In the Steam library right click the game, then click properties then click local files and it's in there: That compares what you have downloaded/installed against what's on the server.
dhall10 1 Posted August 3, 2012 Thanks, but now I have another problem. When I run the game it closes during startup saying 'Bad serial number given in setup'. My brother said this is to do with Battleye but when I went into the games folder on my laptop there is no Battleye folder so I can't reinstall it. I tried doing this by clicking play game then going to reinstall battleye anti-cheat but it says 'This game is currently unavailable. Please try again another time.' so I am unsure of what to do.
