oksman 37 Posted July 30, 2012 Hello guys, I thought I'd share some stuff from the 29th, first of all we're still recruiting and all that. Tactical COOP clan which have played for quite some time now, these are the main videos of the campaign and the reports that follows. We started playing around the release, and now we've got quite a good community, glad to be a part of it. Weekly update and footage. 29th started the campaign Fall Schwarz 'Eins' The 29th have been deployed into the Baranow Sector, ordered to try and push back the summer offensive. Operation Bagration needs to be stopped, the 29th are moving into Baranow from the north-east. Soviet lines are already dug in and entrenched, yet still we march. If you want to see how the 29th fought during this mission, check the video. You will then follow the 1. Gewehr Gruppe as we move into position to assault & breach the soviet lines. Mission date: 23/06-2012 After Action Report The 29th Panzer grenadiers moved into the woods and encountered the enemy lines, after meeting heavy resistance to the south, the company moved due east to find another opening in the Soviet lines. The Assault Squad cleared the east trenches with the help of the Rifle squad, leading to an opening in the Soviet defenses. The Company used this opening to engage and destroy the Mortar attachment, leaving the Soviets in the north-west sector without fire-support. Additionally the 29th managed to wipe out the main objective being the enemy HQ, scouts to the north have confirmed that the soviets are pulling back to the south-east. According to Intel there was at least a T34 located at the trenches, but no one reported the destruction of that T34, meaning we will have to assume that the tank is still active. Good news is that the Assaults squad managed to destroy several vehicles at the Soviet HQ leaving the enemy with limited supplies until their next reinforcements arrive. The führer is proud of our success, the costs were high but the Führer insists we continue with this counter-offensive. Next mission will involve taking the town of Zawidza, be prepared for close quarter combat. The commander of the army group have decided to give the 29th the majority of supplies for our counter offensive, we've been handed mortars and pak40's for the next operation. End of Fall Schwarz I Weekly update and footage. 29th continues the campaign - Fall Schwarz 'Zwei' The 29th moved into the woods and secured a previous defensive line during Fall Schwarz 'Eins' this is now the forward staging area for the second phase of the operation, mainly attacking and clearing out the town of Zawidza. The 29th moved into the area looking to put the Soviet forces out of balance and in doing so engaged two T34's and a company worth of Infantry. Mission date: 30/06-2012 5&feature=plpp_videoAfter Action Report The 29th conducted combat patrols to the south-east, sending in the assault squad in first to assault sector 016018. The platoon was ambushed by a defensive position leading to few casualties, the Assault team fell back to the Platoon Commander and regrouped. During this time the Rifle squad moved south to flank the position, this was completed and the position was taken. The Rifle squad moved up to the MG nest and made sure that it wasn't active, during that time we spotted the artillery nest further north-east, this was taken out with a volley fire. After using the artillery pieces to engage a M3 Scout car the Rifles moved the artillery piece to set up a firing position south-east of it's original position, this was because the assault squad had spotted 2 times T34-76 tanks on the MSR. The rifles moved the AT gun to the road and began engaging the 2 armored targets down the road. This resulted in the 2 T34's being knocked out and that allowed the Assault squad to move further north-east to assault Zawidza. After the Assault team got stuck at the south end of the town, the rifles moved up bypassing the assault squad to move into the first compounds of the town. The enemy positioned themselves inside houses which took quite some time to take out but the Assault & Rifle squads succeeded without too heavy casualties. After the completion of the main objective, the 29th sought to expand the success by attacking the forest north-east of Zawidza, this was done in a good manner as there was minimum losses. End of Fall Schwarz II Weekly update and footage. 29th continues the campaign - Fall Schwarz 'Drei' After the success of the 29th second mission in Fall Schwarz the Soviet forces retreated to the east into the town of Nowe, they are entrenched in this town and will not leave without a fight. A new company of Soviet infantry have been seen moving into Nowe, they are probably the reinforcements to help secure this town and stop our assault. Another note is that the 10th Panzer division finally sent a company to aid us in the attack on this sector, they have been deployed to the south-west. They will not help us directly but they will carry their weight in this campaign. As of now they are only waiting for fuel supplies, in a few days they will be fully prepared to help us. Mission date: 07/07-2012 After Action Report The 29th moved into the town of Nowe meeting heavy entrenched positions, enemies scattered inside farm-houses trying to pick of soldiers with deadly accuracy and machine-guns covering from sandbags. The Assault squad moved on the north-side of the town and the Rifles moved into the south. During this operation two times T34 tanks moved into the area and began engaging our armored escort, this however was futile as our armored escort took out the T34s but sadly lost a track in doing so. During the two hours of combat the 29th were met with heavy resistance in the first three sectors of the town, after the clearing of the 'Red' sector most soviet forces fled the field of battle and we were left with a captured town. End of Fall Schwarz III Weekly update and footage. 29. Panzer Grenadiers Exercise II The 29th Panzer Grenadiers 1. Gewehr Gruppe was sent to training to master the art of mechanized warfare. The goal of the exercise is to allow the Rifle squad to quickly and effectively move in to towns and engage opposing forces without having to move on foot. The Mechanized capability now allows us to move quicker towards the objective which in effect means that the squad will now be harder to deploy artillery upon. Now we can get in close and use our superior weaponry and skill to effectively put an end to our enemies. Mission date: 18/07-2012 After Action Report After the use of live fire exercises the Squad quickly adapted to the new type of warfare, leading to an opening of another assault approach. The Rifle squad is now an asset that can be used as a Quick assault. Reactions on patrols, Reactions in vehicle and town assault with vehicles is now mastered it is now possible for the Rifle squad to move on to other exercises that needs to be done. End of Exercise II Weekly update and footage. 29. Panzer Grenadiers Exercise III The 29th Panzer Grenadiers 1. Gewehr Gruppe was sent to training to exercise with the new recruits, this meaning we have to walk through the basics, contact reaction & Assaulting. A short lesson on mechanized warfare was also taught, and trench warfare however the video does not show it, the Mechanized capability now allows us to move quicker towards the objective which in effect means that the squad will now be harder to deploy artillery upon. Now we can get in close and use our superior weaponry and skill to effectively put an end to our enemies. The trench warfare is required for trench clearing, basic stuff. Assault under a base of fire. Mission date: 24/07-2012 After Action Report The two new members of the Gewehr Gruppe are now available for action, they've been trained in the basics of the Gewehr Gruppe and they now fit in as members. The exercise is always good because it does keep us engaged in our tactics, we have noticed really good improvements during operations, especially when contact is called. Panzer Grenadiers Paradrop The 29th move out again on another mission during the week, this time we're dropping out of planes and into enemy territory. The gruppe is made out of 6 players, we inserted on a field west of our objective, we regrouped and the Rendevouz point and got our gear and then started to move out towards the targets. Mission date: 31/07-2012 After Action Report 29. Paradrop was a success, the mission was accomplished and during this operation the gruppe took out approx. 120 soviet troops and captured an enemy held town.
