MavericK96 0 Posted July 29, 2012 I hate to post a new thread for this, but I'm having trouble configuring my dedicated server (local Windows server on my LAN) to have optimal settings for my bandwidth. Even with 2 people we've been getting desync and lag, and even over a local network I've seen some "sliding" of the AI, which shouldn't be occurring since it 's on a gigabit backbone. I've seen information before about setting the values in basic.cfg, but I can't for the life of me find where those are. I'm only looking to run a 2-6 player co-op server, so the settings need to be configured optimally for that. Server specs: 2.6 GHz Dual Core Opteron 4 GB DDR Windows 7 Professional x64 Net connection: 35 MB down / 5 MB up Any help would be appreciated. Even links to previous discussions (which I was unable to locate). Thanks! :)

MavericK96 0 Posted July 29, 2012 (edited) Ahh, okay, thanks. I knew there was a thread but it's hard to sift through everything in here. ---------- Post added at 16:08 ---------- Previous post was at 15:54 ---------- Okay, I read through that thread...some good info there, but it looked like it was more for people running faster servers with way more bandwidth than me. I'd still like to know what values would be ideal for a small co-op server on a normal broadband connection. Thanks! EDIT: Another question: Before 1.62 it seemed like when I would connect to my own dedicated server over the LAN, my "Bandwidth" count in-game would be like 10,000 or something. Now I am getting something like 300-500, and it's even kind of slow trying to move gear around in the briefing...on my own gigabit network... Edited July 29, 2012 by MavericK96
