Mission Scenarios problem ( Not Loading )

Greetings,

I just bought Arma 2 Combined Operations recently, but have been plagued with a problem so I hope veterans here could share their insights and solutions to it.

Whenever I tried to start a single player mission; the game loads fine but once I am in the game, I am only presented with the in-game scene, like a town for example, everything is working, the time is passing, the clouds are moving, the birds are flying around but I just can't do anything to start the mission. What could the problem be ?

It is not just a single mission, I tried it with MODS on and Vanilla Arma 2 but the problem persist. Am I supposed to press some unique keys to get it started ? Or something is terribly wrong here ?

Example:

I load the single player mission for " Showcase 5: Guerilla "

All I get after the load is scene and it stays there onwards. *screenshot attached*

Hi reibenreve Welcome to BIS forums!

Is your game a disc version, steam, digital download?

Are you only playing the ingame scenarios that come with the game, or did you go into the editor?

If you are playing a scenario that comes with the game then they should start on its own, they might have a continue button or something

on screen but other then that you should be able to play.

What game version do you have?

to find out go to the main menu of the game and look at the bottom right.
