tarabas 10 Posted July 11, 2012 Hi, i played arma series since ofp, on different rigs , servers and mods... When i am in big citys all is good like 40-60 fps on high settings @ 1980 Monitor. After aprox. 1 hour gameplay the frames go down to 15-25... I tested on different PC , mods (dayzs, PR, ACE, vanilla) and servers .. MY Rig now is a 2500@4.5 Ghz, 8 Gig RAM, Cruicial SSD, GTX 470 OC and Win7 64. Arma dont takes more then 1 Gig RAM, must i work with maxmem in 2012 or does arma detect my 8 gig and use it ? other options? PS: when i have this 15-25 frames in big city after 1 hour gameplay (big citys are fine when i play under 1 hour) i can set the arma2 gfx settings all to low, and get NO more frames, so i think it is CPU ( on a sandy 4.5 Ghz?? not really..) or most likely RAM or Game bugs...When i rejoin the same server and go in the same city back all is ok..40-60 frames..after an hour or little less..same problem
Alan 10 Posted July 11, 2012 Does it happen in other games when you have a lot of stuff loading up at a time, if that is the case, it might be your graphics card over heating, if so, try placing a house fan under your computer, if that solved the problem then you need to buy a new fan for your graphics card or just buy a new graphics card, that is the only thing I can think of at this moment. :p
tarabas 10 Posted July 11, 2012 No, other games run fine. I tested this on different computers, so its not my system.
UK_SPAWN 1 Posted July 11, 2012 Have you monitored the memory usage in Windows Task Manager? Open it up and load arma2, then ALT+TAB and check the memory usage every 15 mins. I have noticed it creeps up. Do you have the "-maxmem=XXX" switch in use on your shortcut? -SPAWN-
