Environment light not synchronized with muzzle flash

Recommended Posts

Hello guys watching the video below (Arma 3: Night Ops | E3 2012 Showcase [HD]) I noticed at 3:45 that the light at the ground is not synchronized with the weapon's mzzle flash. Its delayed. Obviously the light comes from the fireball, then fireball=light, then no-fireball=no-light. In showcased video instead it is noted that the fireball precedes the light, remaining for some fraction of a second on the ground, instead of being almost instantaneous, like a flash would be, therefore not synchronized. I wanted to ask if there is a real reason for this decision or is it a bug. seems unrealistic to me. Thanks, waiting for explanation. (sorry for my english :)

What did we do to you that you make it such a hassle for us to just view the damn video? :(

EDIT: Fixed :)

The reason might be that the game is in Alpha state. I think we'll get the opportunity to report such bugs during the community alpha period.

My opinion is, the game is in alpha state actually, there is still a lot of work and tuning to do. And probably soon there will be a community alpha available where everyone can do it's personal bughunt and report whatever he finds. At this point, personally, i think that this issue is mort probably way down of BI's to do list and nothing i would actually worry yet.

Well, the word "alpha" does have something to do with it. But it's a different alpha. It just looks like they change the alpha of the light over time, rather than instant, making it look delayed.
