killakurt203 1 Posted June 28, 2012 i was playing singleplayer and went to look at the map and my player icon wasnt there. it wasnt just one mission it was all of the official missions as well. would like to fix without reinstalling as i would have to go get my game and its in another town away from me. any ideas as to what could be causing it? Messiah 2 Posted June 28, 2012 adjusting the difficulty settings has most likely removed your player icon from the map, try returning it to easy/recruit/whatevertheycallitnow and see if that helps? If it does I believe you can then go back and manually adjust various settings within the difficulty settings so that you can have a harder difficulty, but still have the player icon on the map. Messiah 2 Posted June 29, 2012 IIRC/in my experience the AI you see is the AI you get, difficulty settings just alters various components of your experience to make things harder/more realistic rather than making them better or worse. I think GPS is tied to a few specific units such as pilots and vehicle crew as a standard item. It's also set by the mission you're playing whether or not the player should be able to see/use GPS.
