Any way to swap character models? Wanting to make an Opfor unit a "Police Officer"...

Group a civilian police officer to an OPFOR group leader, if you want him to be in a group on his own then set the probability of presence of the OPFOR guy to 0%.

also in mission.sqm - look for the east unit you want to change - give him a name in the editor and search mission.sqm for that unit

then

change vehicle = "the unit"; to the unit you want to use

also works on playerable units
