ScorpionGuard 10 Posted June 11, 2012 I wish for a quick answer please. What pix x pix and terrain cell size I have to input to get 248 miles x 248 miles? Would 2048 pix x 2048 pix w/ 10 meter cell size do it? Are will I need a bigger cell size? Are bigger pix x pix size? Is this possible at all?

oldbear 390 Posted June 11, 2012 (edited) Well ... 248 miles = 399.117 km Starting with a nice "2048 pix x 2048 pix",.... hum, hum...., you will need a 200 m cell size in order to get a 409 000 m x 409 000 m terrain 200 m terrain grid size ! Bigger pix size, say 4096x4096 produces strange issues Visitor3 wise ... not possible to place/move objects in certain area. Building a crude 400 km x 400km with only terrain and some clutter but no object on it is quite easy but it will take 10 years to be populated with vegetation, buildings and road ... and will probably be unplayable then. I will add that with "continuous terrain" option you can display a very large terrain even if you have build a small one  Edited June 11, 2012 by Old Bear
