Waltsu 10 Posted June 5, 2012 Hey! Just wondering what would be the best way to save multiplayer mission on certain time cycles. Hosting Dayz server on LAN and it works just fine but the save is missing. Using linux on my ded server and found some info about Mysql saving, but that needs .net and other windows components. Thanks in advance.
Gunter Severloh 4070 Posted June 5, 2012 Hi Waltsu! In general there is no saving in Multiplayer. On a server's server.cfg there is a code: persistence=1; which will keep the same mission running til the server is restarted, if i remember correctly someone was talking about using a script of some sort, like a caching type thing where all info was stored, IDK. All I can think of, maybe someone else would have a better answer for you.
Waltsu 10 Posted June 5, 2012 Alrighty, that wont cut it. I will try with persistent database + Windows Server 2008 then. Link for persistent database: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?111484-ArmA2-Persistent-Database-Scripts-WIP
