Major lag after playing awhile.

I presume as its Steam you have latest version 1.60

Check bottom right of main menu screen.

Make sure you have recent version of your graphics driver: http://downloads.guru3d.com/

In Nvidia settings, turn off CUDA.

As stated before, but I don't think you did it right,

When you notice the slow down try: [LShift] + [numpad -] then type 'flush'

You will not see anything when pressing the keys but afterwards the screen will go black for a second with the word 'Flush' and then go back to the game.

If this helps then try different settings for 'Texture memory' in game graphics options. (DEFAULT should be best)

Turned off CUDA but now i'm stuck at Loading so i can't see if it works or not.. :/
