Activate/spawn unit?

Hi Folks,

Ive printed out and read the instructions re:Triggers/waypoints but just cant work this one out.

I'm sure its in the 'simple when you know how' catagory of things once you have got it fixed in your head.

I'm trying to get a group to activate/spawn once my heli gets to a certain area. ie want a group to start to attack an area once ive dropped some troops off but not before.

Help for the simple minded please........

You could set it up so that once the dropped troops have gotten out and gotten on the ground, have them go somewhere and sync that waypoint to a search and destroy waypoint given to the group that is attacking the paratroopers.

You could always set a global variable in the onAct field of the last waypoint of the helicopter;

GO=TRUE

Then in the COND of the seek-and-destroy waypoint of the attacking group put

GO == TRUE;

The result should be that the attacking group's waypoint is not activated until the chopper reaches its last waypoint. I haven't tested this, but it should work.
