tester66 1 Posted May 25, 2012 I've tried searching for a resolution to my problem, but havent found anything so I'll post here and hopefully get it sorted. I downloaded amd tried to play the ARMA 2: FREE version from steam. On the main menu it says the game is version 1.11, and steam wont download anything newer. Now for my problem: When I'm in-game I get very horrible static sound problems in my headphones (Logitech g930). If I open the sound options menu and turn off the sound effects the static sound issue is gone, but then I cant hear my gun firing or when I walk or most sounds etc, I don't have any soundcard installed and I'm running on Windows 7. Whats causing this and what can I do to fix it? I'm hoping I can resolve this issue soon so I can buy CO, but I can't risk buying it if its unplayable like this.. or is the full game different and doesnt have this static sound issue? Nicholas 5 Posted May 25, 2012 Could you please download and install Speccy? Then copy and paste all the information that is in the "Summary" tab. This will tell me exactly what components are in your PC.

Nicholas 5 Posted May 25, 2012 Have you installed the proper drivers for your headset? Have you installed drivers for your onboard audio?
tester66 1 Posted May 25, 2012 Just checked my logitech driver software, it says "your logitech software is up to date" My audio driver is installed yes, otherwise I wouldn't hear any sound. This is the only game that I've had this static sound problem with. Here's the details about my onboard sound driver: http://iforce.co.nz/i/wbhcjx2s.kpi.jpg
