Captain Scarlet 10 Posted May 3, 2012 Hi, While this thread generally relates to the new mod DayZ, I believe my problem is one with Arma2 rather than with that mod. So, this started a week or so ago, when after one update to DayZ, suddenly when joining servers I see an error message stating that I have an old version. This happens regardless of the many re-downloads I've done. I also reinstalled Arma2 and OA, patched them up, and put the mod folder back - same problem. It seems as though the game sees an old version of the mod, or something. Just as an experiment, I removed the @dayz folder from the Arma2 directory - on starting the game, I still see the options for @dayZ and Invasion1944, which i had installed before I reinstalled. An additional anomoly is that when I enabled @dayz, I get an additional mod option called "DayZ" - I'm not sure under which conditions this appears, but it's not all the time. Also, I don't believe I44 is available as an option when I actually have the @dayz mod folder in the main directory. Basically, I don't know what's going on with my Arma 2, where on earth it's getting these from. This is a screenshot of my directory, with the @dayz folder: I'd be very grateful for any help, if anyone has the slightest idea what my problem might be! It's fairly infuriating, and I just can't think of anything that I might be doing wrong. Thanks, Scarlet
Guest Posted May 4, 2012 Issued caused by custom content (in this case it started after the installation of DayZ) do not belong in the troubleshooting section. That is only for issues with the default game. Since the problem did arise after you updated DayZ I suggest you post in the DayZ topic, maybe more users experienced the same.
