I too hate that. It never occurs to them that my moniter is a solid object and "Going toward the light" WONT WORK in this scenario..........Crain flys are a bitch too mad.gif

OMG I just got an Idea, what if I invent a very powerful fan with a 17" x 1" vent that hooks to the side of the monitor so those little bastards get blown away. I dont think it will be a big hit though.

You could also smear an anti-insect repellent stick around the plastic frame of your monitor.

Or you could just put a normal fan on your computer table facing perpendicular to your moniter...might save you a bit of trouble.

More ideas:

1. Get one of those blue light insect zappers and place it nearby.

2. Put screens on the windows.

3. Buy an air conditioner, close the windows and keep cool. smile.gif

Or just remove the earthlink to ya monitor and connect the earthlink to your 220v pole.... Just remember not to touch it...

All of our windows have screens and we keep they are on all the time. No one is going in and out a lot so I dont know where the bastards are coming from. There was a mesquito eater in here yesterday that I didnt kill I guess it went somewhere else.

There wouldn't by chance be a puddle of stagnant water on the floor in your room, would there? tounge.gif

The closest thing to that is a disguisting toilet, but there are no mesquitos in it ive checked. Those friggen midget mofo's (nats) can probably fit threw the screen. Then they can come in my room and cruise around and think "wow there is absolutely nothing to do in here but go die on a monitor."

Insect repellant will give you a killer headache after sitting near it for an hour. So that ain't no good.

You could get an iguana to eat the bugs as they come.

And since it'll be eating the bugs, you don't need to feed it any other nutrients... Just some toothpaste or gel once in a while. smile.gif

Is your room ait conditioned?

If it's a window unit, could they be breeding in a drip pan underneath?

If it's a central unit, could they be coming from the vent leading into the room?

We never use the a/c but we have it, they must just be slipping throught the door when it opens.
