2 questions about wrpedit

Recommended Posts

Well, the first one is: Is it illegal?

And the second: Is there a way to import maps so in Wrpedit keeps the mountains, when you use Wilbur it then imports only beaches and sea.. i.o.w. flat. But I wanna keep elovation

If they considered it illegal, I think BIS would have commented by now. After all this is their forum.

As for importing maps, you must be doing something wrong. I never had any problems.

Mind you, I can't get the OFP engine to recognise them.

Well, there are two things you can try to fix the mountain elevation, one is a thing you have to check inside WrpEdit.

1) When you have imported your data, select all cells using either ctrl-q or from the menu. Then under #landscape press "Default". Then you set the flags to default, and assign textures. Try this first

2) There is no "Default Z value". The Z value that is displayed in Wilbur is the maximum altitude of your terrain. I.E the highest peak.

You should try painting larger mountains in Wilbur. They should be in the red/purple colour range to be real mountains.

Hold on, I think Im on something here.. well I tryed to make mountains, but only turns out when it is white in Wilbur. In other words, you have to press and hold untill its white, then hold even more and panint over and over and over again untill you get some hight results in Wrpedit...

you ccan save your map in Willbur as a .ter file and open it in terragen. in terragen there is button named "combine" with and pick addtion and prees modify terrain and that will rise the elevation alot if you do two to three times and get you around 500m mountains. then open the file in willbur and save as .txt and import it and you will have high mountains
