Blufor and Opfor not recognizing each other. Need help bad!

I have been editing for about 6 months and have run across a glitch in my missions. I like to use a lot of waypoints and triggers as well as multiple objects. Somehow in the editing process some type of glitch forms that causes the opposing units to not recognize eachother, or just not fire. Sometimes a tank will fire its machine guns and not the main cannon.

I have noticed that a unit will remember its original waypoint even if you change it later in the editing process. This can be fixed by pasting the mission to a fresh map. However the other problem still exists.

Last night I had a whole row of identical tanks and only one would engage the enemy. I copy and pasted that unit right next to itself and then both units stopped firing.

I know you are going to ask, so here it is. I have tried every possible waypoint configuration to solve this problem and it has not worked. I am very frustrated and am about to quit arma, which really sucks because this is the only game I have liked since the original ghost recon.

Has anyone experienced these problems or can anyone help?

I have never experienced this!... are you sure it's working this way?

How are you changing it?.... in the editor of fiddling with the text in the mission.sqm?

EDIT: I have noticed in the latest patches that sometimes BLUFOR vehicles will not shoot at the OPFOR even if they are very close. They just follow them around with the gun.... but never fire.

I might have a waypoint that is a guard. Later I might decide to change it to search and destroy. I will just double click the waypoint and change the perameters. I have e mailed my mission sqm to a friend and he has installed it on his map and experienced the same problems with my sqm. Are you refering to the 1.60 patch causing problems?

That's bizarre!

I always run the latest betas from here... http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php and have noticed recently that sometimes vehicles will not attack even when the target is right in front of them. However I do run a lot of mods... so maybe one of those mods is the culprit. It's hard to say without testing without the mods.

Just thought I'd mention it in my above post.

My friend and I run the same exact mods. He has never experienced these problems.What you are describing is exactly what is happening to me. However, the units will work fine up to a certain point during the mission building process, then something will cause them to not fire. The only mod I was running when this all started was FFAA Armas weapons.

Hi, can you post a link to download your mission with any requirements, maybe I/we can look at it for you.

You should try it without the weapon mod and see what happens!
