F-35 in combined operations

Recommended Posts

ok. so yes. im a noob, here looking for answers.

simple one. im really good at flying the F-35 in ARMA II. thats pretty much what i did all the time, doing interesting take offs and landing.

but then i discover combined operations, a way of running all the "old" ARMA II stuff, but with the operation arrowhead improved engine, yet when i get in the F-35 im rubbish. is seems to have completely altered the way auto hover works (but with no helping indications, such as what angle the vectored engine is at) and when not in hover mode, it no longer vectors the engine so taht you dont just fall out the sky and crash on short landings.

is there any way to change this back in Combined Operations, or will i just have to go back to ARMA II, and "suffer" the lag, yet have wonderful controls?

many thanks, i know it was a bit whiney, but if you got this far, good on you

What you're experiencing is manual control for the thrust vectors. You can control the thrust vectoring with the flaps up and flaps down keys in autohover mode. I think you can go back to the old system by using the old throttle control scheme instead of analogue throttle control.
