How can you turn off ACRE requirement to fly in a mission!

Recommended Posts

Where can you turn off THE ACRE SETUP that will only allow you to PILOT if you are connected with ACRE  I am fooling around with a MP mission that uses ACE and ACRE. I DO NOT WANT to use ACRE this mission is only for a few friends to chill and play. The message you get when you attempt to get into a air vehicles (YOU NEED TO BE CONNECTED WITH acre in order to fly) I have look for a few days in multiple folders/files with no luck. Any direction would be great. Thanks AVIBIRD.

This isn't a standard thing, so you'd need to open up the mission and figure out where that limit is being imposed. What mission is this? Is it downloadable anywhere?

Thanks for the reply! It is a domination mission from the 15thmeu server I am just starting to mess around with ACE in the editor. I have a few friends that are into the whole clan thing! I can try to download a different ACE domination but most ACE server use ACRE. This should be a easy thing to do but if you can't find the codeline it's not lol. AVIBIRD

I think the first thing you need to do is get yourself a new keyboard. Every other few words all out of the blue it decides to type (a) word(s) all in caps. That is one really annoying problem I must say and this rule applies to that:

§12) Do not type in all capital letters, all bold, or in a non-black font

Typing in all caps equates (according to standard net etiquette) to yelling. It is also difficult and obnoxious to read such posts. This also applies to posting all in bold or all in a certain font colour just to try to make your words stand out, if your point is interesting enough or well written enough it will stand out. You're welcome of course to use different colours for parts of your post if it helps clarify certain areas, but typing complete messages in any colour other than black should be avoided.

Official warning +1

Yeah, the 15th MEU stuff won't be standard at all. They have some pretty sharp mission editors on their team that do some really cool stuff so trying to remove that feature probably won't be as easy as just commenting out a line. :) You might want to just post on their forums asking if they have a 'non-ACRE' version available or could give you a hint on where to turn that feature off.
