SkyeFyre 10 Posted January 3, 2012 Ok, so I've been playing a lot of warfare matches. I used to play it just fine, but now after about an hour the game starts to slow down. Like, there are insane delays between when I choose construction options and when it will actually place the object. Or when I choose "Buy Weapons" or "Buy Units" it sits there for a solid 10-20 seconds before popping the window up, and then once the window is up, it takes another 10 seconds or so for the purchase options to appear. My game is running at a solid 40fps, I'm able to shoot, blow stuff up, AI reacts quickly, but anything involving my actions menu just gradually slows down to the point that my whole game doesn't even work. I'm not sure what kind of information you would need from me to help, so I'll leave you with my system specs and wait for further instruction or assistance. System Specs: Dell XPS 15 L502x w/ Sandy Bridge Intel Core i7-2630QM 2.00GHz with 2.90GHz Turbo Boost 6GB DDR3 RAM Nvidia Geforce GT 540m 2GB 500GB 7200RPM SATA HDD

Whenever a certain amout of A.I. in a mission is surpassed...the mission get's unplayable die to all scripts and A.I. functions as well as client side FPS going down.No solution, and it won't be fixed since it is a MP limitation. Unfortunately a lot of Server Admins still dont know or care and consider it no Problem as long as THEY have good fps...clients with average hardware do not matter. The problem usually kicks in whenever more than 5 towns with large A.I. count go active at once. That happens very fast on a 48 Player server. Solution...go for a server with lower A.I. count. SkyeFyre 10 Posted January 3, 2012 This is unfortunate. I'm playing warfare solo on my own computer, the only other computer I have that I could even think of running a dedicated server on is significantly weaker and I fear the problem would occur even quicker with that one. I've never had a problem like this before, why is just manifesting now? To clarify: I'm playing warfare alone with bots, no other players. The server and client is me. Try to give A.I. squads patrol oders away from towns so that less town get activates by A.I. squads at once...alternatively reduce A.I. slots. Remeber: A.I. in ArmA is REAL A.I. not just bots. so every virtual head in this game has a virtual brain and has to be processed by your CPU.Everything over 200 A.I. usually does not run well for me. SkyeFyre 10 Posted January 3, 2012 (edited) So why would it just start now? I've played warfare on Chernerus with all control points activated, and played a warfare match that went well over 4-5 hours. Now I'm trying again and it just messes up after an hour. I'm not doubting what you're saying, I just find it very odd that I had all of Chernerus active and shooting at each other before and the most I had to wait for a menu then was like 5 seconds. Thanks for the information though. It gives me a starting point to get this going good again. It's nice to know the problem. I figured it probably had something to do with A.I. hunne 1 Posted January 3, 2012 do you have some speedstep or turboboost stuff activated? maybe you are willing to try to disable this and set all clocks to the (save) maximum. or maybe overclock your cpu if that is possible, never heard of your CPU though^^

I have no clue what speedstep or turboboost you're referring to. If you mean the turbo boost from being a Core i7, then I wasn't aware you could turn that off, and I'm not sure how that would improve performance.
