cas 41 Posted December 10, 2011 I was happy to see BIS getting into the Heli simulation genre! Because I am dreaming of one big united electronic battlefield i was a bit disappointed to find out that TOH not was integrated in the ARMA engine in a kind of "combined operations". I would love to use the new features and maps in ARMA. Years ago i suggested a modular way to integrate better vehicle simulation in a modular way: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=42476 this is probably what i was dreaming about. the positive: -great view distance -great new maps -beautiful graphics (except the whales, they are horrible) -beautiful helis -nice story and characters -you can use cars and boats etc. the negative: -the mission scripting is much to linear, you fail missions all the time and you constantly have to load and replay. Why can´t you fail missions and objectives and get on with reduced payment for the missions? -the crashes should be more realistic (because i crash all the time) that would make crashes more fun and because the engine supports you getting out of the vehicle you could find out if you are injured and have a look at the mess you created (in all other simulations you could not even do this, so use the great engine!) Most real live landing crashes from low altitude would have the pilot survive. -why can´t you switch the green symbols for the cockpit panels off? It takes the immersion! - the traffic is nice but it would be nice if you could collide with cars (minor thing) - the old arma bug that you can hear environment sounds like birds inside vehicles is back I know you are good at patching your games but i also hope for a more open campaign structure for your future games and i hope for a integration with arma. :)
