Scorpio 0 Posted June 6, 2002 Make 2 squads (24 men) Put this in each of their initialisation boxes: this moveincargo x Where x is the name of the chopper.
Scorpio 0 Posted June 6, 2002 or alternatively, if the pilot of the chopper is the group leader, then just add soldiers to the group and select "In Cargo" in the Special box.
JJFLY 1 Posted June 6, 2002 okay what is there inisilization boxes and where are they?
Scorpio 0 Posted June 6, 2002 erm... Inisilisation boxes are the the fields where you double click on a unit. It defines a unit's extra charateristics. You will see the box when you double click on the unit.
shadow 6 Posted June 6, 2002 If you're not familiar with the editor/or never used it before you need to set it to "Advanced" mode first by clicking on "Advanced" in the top-right corner in the editor. Then you will abe able to see the init-field in a soldiers preference.
Scorpio 0 Posted June 6, 2002 oops, i almost forgot that Shadow.
KTottE 0 Posted June 6, 2002 Easier way of putting an entire squad into a chopper/vehicle: Place a CH-47. Where it says "Name" type Helo1 Then place a group of West soldiers. In the leaders init field put: "_x MoveInCargo Helo1" foreach units this That way all the units in that group will be put inside the chopper. And if you want two groups, just follow the procedure again. The CH-47 can seat 2 Ë groups.
JJFLY 1 Posted June 6, 2002 um can u clarify what you typed it didn't work and i'm a little confused thanks for your help so far
KTottE 0 Posted June 7, 2002 1) Press F1 then double click anywhere on the map. Select West -> Air -> CH-47. And in the "Special" scroll-down list select "Flying". In the "Name" field, put Helo1 Then click "Ok" 2) Now, press F2. Then double click anywhere on the map and select West -> Infantry -> Infantry squad from the list. Repeat process one time 3) Now, double click on the leader in the first group. Then, in his "initialization" field, put this: "_x MoveInCargo Helo1" ForEach Units This Then click "Ok" Repeat the process with the leader in the second group. 4) Done, now you will have 2 groups starting inside a CH-47 helicopter. And the helicopter will be flying. Everything between speech marks ("blabla") is the name of a button or option in the editor. Everything that is in italic is commands or variables that you will type yourself. It will be simpler for you to just copy/paste what I have written. Do you know what the initialization field is in the editor?
habdoel 0 Posted June 7, 2002 is this working for other things to? mi 17,vieuwtowers or LST? How many people can get in a LST?
Scorpio 0 Posted June 7, 2002 no people can get in an LST. But there was an addon by a-lone-wolf some time ago where you can get supplies and get about 50 men inside.
KTottE 0 Posted June 7, 2002 You can use that line for all the vehicles in OFP. Well, the ones that you can get into anyway. You can use it for building as well. But you might have to change it to GetInDriver or GetInGunner.
