jakerod 254 Posted November 27, 2011 I was wondering if there is a way to know where each texture cell is going to start. I tried on my map that has 512 texture cells. I set up a grid system in photoshop for every 512 pixels each with subdivisions every 32 pixels (so I could tell where the overlap ended). However, my predictions with the grid were terribly off (see image below). Is there someway I can tell where they will be? Could it be because the upper left or lower left of my mask had a single color?
Synide 0 Posted November 28, 2011 With a 512x512 & 32px overlap your first (top left) 512 texture will start at -16px,-16px. With a 2560px mask map, the 5th column 512 textures, only the first 176px will be used. Similar with the bottom 5th row as well. Fyi, the mask aportioned 512px x 512px textures naming convention is m_<column>_<row>_lco.png. So, m_00_00_lco.png is the top-left. I can wipe ya up a quick .psd using the SampleMap if ya want a better picture. pm me to let me know an address if ya want it. Of course these values start to change the moment you start changing .pew params. cheers, Sy.
