RSF TheCapulet 59 Posted October 20, 2011 This is a petition, for Americans mostly :P, to repeal the Hughes Amendment. For a little bit of a history lesson, the Hugues Amendment was an underhanded amendment slipped into the 1986 Firearm Owners Protection Act. The amendment stipulated that civilians could no longer purchase "machine guns" that were manufactured after May 19th, 1986. The amendment itself failed the vote, but was slipped in anyways when the bill went to the senate. Since then, Americans have been restricted to absurdly overpriced rifles if they want to waste as much ammo as possible. So sign up and sign it! And if you're not American, you hate our guts, and cant wait to say "I told you so" when our streets are running red with blood, sign it as well.
