Leon86 13 Posted September 7, 2011 It might work with a bit of cleaning, otherwise download clonedvd and try to make an image with that on the lowest speed, I managed to "rescue" ceasar III with that. You dont know anybody who also has it to lend you the dvd? But whatever you do, dont go to thepiratebay.org , that's naughty.
st_dux 26 Posted September 7, 2011 You realize that having a friend lend you the DVD is just as illegal as downloading it off the internet, right? Even if you've bought the game before, you can't legally install it from anywhere other than your own copy of the data. (Yes, this is ridiculous).

That way if you bought 2 copy's and forgot what key is what dvd you'd have a 50% chance of pirating. :D ---------- Post added at 09:00 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:59 PM ---------- and another question i cannot even get the Arma 2 free editon where do you find this "Key" for free? you have to make an account somewhere, then they mail you the key I believe. st_dux 26 Posted September 7, 2011 i have bought it .... because the cd isnt working makes my searching for a way to redownload the game illegal? Yup. It's like if you bought an apple, but then it was damaged to the point where it was not edible; you couldn't rightly demand that the store replace your apple because you messed it up, now could you? Clearly, this analogy is as flawless as the concept of intellectual property in general. ---------- Post added at 04:02 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:00 PM ---------- I'm pretty sure nobody cares about that. It is exactly the same as getting it off of a disc that you didn't buy; it is just more readily available. Technically speaking, both are equally illegal thanks to modern intellectual property law. Leon86 13 Posted September 7, 2011 cleaning the dvd and using clonedvd @ 1x speed doesn't work? Anyways, I'm sure you can find a dvd or image somewhere but nobody wants to post warez links on a forum.
st_dux 26 Posted September 7, 2011 so now i stole this disc in my hand and i didnt buy it You misunderstand completely. I am sure that you bought the disc that is now broken. My point was simply that you can't legally get the files elsewhere without buying a new copy. I am not making any comment as to whether or not you could or should acquire the files elsewhere, only that it is technically illegal unless you buy a new copy. In any case, BI is usually pretty friendly when it comes to stuff like this (I think), so you might be able to get a free replacement (digital of course) from them. Contact their support services. [frl]myke 14 Posted September 8, 2011 (edited) ArmA 2: €14.99 ArmA 2OA: €14.99 ArmA 2CO: €24.99 If your kid broke your DVD you can't blame anyone but yourself. I have myself a 5yr old son so i do know what i speak of. Keep your DVD's out of reach or presume they will be broken sooner or later. It's called "common sense" (excluding in the United States of America, there a court would have to thinkdecide for the people). Guest Posted September 8, 2011 When one has bought the DVD game in the past and for whatever reason the disk was damaged preventing you to reinstall the game you will have to buy a new copy of the game. Of course with the new copy you can use your new or old (legit) key, thats your choice. Asking for places where to download the game from when only a legit key is left from a legit package (in this case the DVD package) is not allowed. test Foxhound wears mini skirts
