moerty 0 Posted June 1, 2002 it's impossible for football to ever become an american game,the americans already have american*cough*football*cough*.for football they'd have to change the timing of the periods so it fits their marketing schedules,then they'd have to change the name to something else cause it wouldn't be football anymore,i doubt anybody would watch a game of "american soccer". Let me ask an american on here,Who do you want in the nba finals ? See how nets are in,i'm rooting for the kings.Also did you see game 6 of lakers and kings ? What the heck were the refs looking at ? They called fouls when there was  no foul and when there was one they didn't call one,Like at the end of the game the elbow to that guy nose,even though it was accident,It's still a foul. foxer 0 Posted June 2, 2002 I like sports with hitting.I could watch rugby if i knew why all the guys were hugging together and some little guy is running around them with a ball,i guess it's like homosexual convention(no never been to one,and not gay,I stereotype gay people as the hugging type.). --edit, I could watch baseball alot more if i see more guys get hit with the baseball more,and seeing the batter charge the picther and both benchs clears and sometimes their is an all out battle,which is awesome. IsthatyouJohnWayne 0 Posted June 2, 2002 England played very well in the first half hour -Sweden sucked more than ever in the first half England should have gone 2-0 up though they gave the ball away too easily. But in the second half they lost their concentration and handed it to Sweden on a platter, Sweden stepped up to it and got better and better- In the second half England were lucky to come away with a draw. Sweden was disgusting in first half, but thats not very unusual; that it takes time for Sweden to get in the match. But I really expected a Swedish win here, dont think England really is a better team. Maybe individually, but not with that arrogant attitude 'we invented football, therefore we are by definition the best' - Svennis was obviously not able to wash that away.. Im much more worried about Argentina and Nigeria; recon a lose and a draw there - and England may win against Nigeria... Shit! Though perhaps something miraculous will happen and England will crush Argentina-otherwise England are quite possibly out. -Pukko- i really dont think the England team have that attitude any more- 30 years of losing kicked that out of us. England want to win very badly but the players know just how hard it is. They simply played badly Well done Sweden.We should have beaten you on paper.
